Bhopal doctor did critical laser operation of uterus: 4 major surgeries had already been done, so many doctors had refused

Rewa’s woman had undergone four major abdominal operations. 5th child was to be born. It was a matter of life. Showed to many doctors. He refused the operation. The reason was – there was a lot of risk in the operation. Actually, four incisions had already been made in the woman’s stomach. No one wanted to take the risk of operating by making a fifth incision.

The woman came to Bhopal and showed her at Siddhanta Red Cross Hospital. Dr. Nitika Varshney removed her problem by performing laser operation (laparoscopic surgery). According to the doctor, it was a critical operation. It was also very important to have an operation. The condition of the patient was getting worse. Now the patient is completely fine.

What was the challenge?

According to Dr. Nitika, ‘The patient had already undergone four major operations (Total Proctocolectomy (for ulcerative colitis), Stoma closure, Hernioplasty, Cesarean section). That is, the stomach was opened by making four big incisions and was closed with stitches. Had the 5th operation been done with a big incision, the patient’s life could have been in danger. In such cases, there is also a possibility of excessive bleeding of the patient. That is why this operation was very complicated.

Dr. Nitika told, ‘In this condition we decided to do laparoscopic surgery of the patient. The patient was operated upon 10 days back. Now he is completely fine.
