Continuous action is being taken against those who smuggle illegal weapons in the district. Under the campaign, Bhagwanpura police has taken action against illegal arms suppliers. On Friday, the police had received information from the informer that a Sikligar in a black T-shirt carrying a red bike had passed through Bhagwanpura Patel Falya. Whose petrol tank has a plastic bag on it.
Taking immediate action on the information, under the direction of station in-charge Uni Ramesh Bhaskar, the police team reached the place mentioned by the informer. When the police team hid his presence on the information given by the informer, then a person was seen coming in the same guise, he tried to run away after seeing the police. He was caught by the police team under siege. On asking the name of the person who was caught, he told his name as Prahlad’s father Anoksingh Sikligar, 22 years old resident of village Signur.
On searching Prahlad Singh, 11 pieces of illegal weapons (5 pieces of country made pistols, 6 pieces of country made pistols of 12 bore) were found from him. On inquiry after bringing the accused to the police station, he told to bring the illegal pistol made by himself to sell in village Seignur. A crime has been registered against the accused in the sections of the Arms Act in connection with the sale and purchase of illegal arms at the Rajasthan police station in the past. He is an absconding warrant, in which the accused is absconding for the last three years. After arresting the accused, detailed inquiry is being done in other cases.
