Burhanpur district hospital has problem due to not having anesthesia specialist: patients are referred to other cities, collector said – we are trying

There is lack of facilities in the new district hospital built at a cost of about 32 crores in Burhanpur. The hospital has become good, but there is nothing here in the name of resource facilities. People are still being referred to Indore, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa for health facilities. Similarly, pregnant women are also being referred to Khandwa, Indore at midnight.

Actually there is no anesthesia specialist in the district hospital. Because of this, people are suffering from a long time. Most of the problems are faced by pregnant women. Due to non-availability of anesthesia specialist at the time of Caesar, the female patient is being referred to Khandwa, Indore. In such a situation, many times the lives of women are at stake.

Regarding this, Collector Bhavya Mittal said that doctors also express concern about this. We have discussed with them that they should also try to solve such issues at their own level. Also said that we are trying to get arrangement of anesthesiologist from Bhopal. Efforts are on from our side.
