CM had announced about 5 years ago to open government colleges in Shadhaura, Piprai and Sehrai. Colleges were also opened after the announcement made by him before the by-elections, but till now these colleges could not get their own buildings.
At present, these colleges are running either in the rooms of government schools or in old Tehsil buildings. Where the students are not getting even the basic facilities. Also, these colleges have not been able to get enough staff.
When Bhaskar investigated in the 3 government colleges opened in the district, the building of any college could not be constructed. They are running in the building of Middle, Higher Secondary School or in the old Tehsil building. After the announcement of the CM, the students of the area got the gift of the college, but still they have to go either to the college of Mungawali or the Nehru Degree College of the district headquarters to appear for the examination.
College running in school rooms, building work started
Sehrai. Government College in Sehrai is currently running in 5 rooms of Middle and Higher Secondary School. Where 2 professors, 6 guest teachers, 6 outsourced employees are posted. The college started functioning from July 2019 but till now its building has not been completed. The principal of the college said that a building is being constructed for the government college in Khalilpur at a cost of Rs 4 crore 34 lakh.

Shadhaura. Government College is running in 5 rooms of Higher Secondary School. This college was also announced by the CM. After which the college had to be run in the school building in a hurry. College Principal Devendra Singh Dhakad told that the site for the college building at Kundalpur temple has been approved but due to non-tender yet, the building work has not started.
Exams start today: exams will be held in neighboring colleges
BA first year examinations of government colleges are starting from Saturday. Due to the chaos and less space in these colleges, one will have to go to the big colleges in the neighborhood to take the exam. 139 students of Shadhaura’s Government College will come to Ashoknagar’s Government Nehru Degree College to appear for exams. Principal of Sehrai RR Arya told that 89 students will go to Mungawali College to appear for the examination. The exam will run from 9 am to 12 noon. Similarly, students of Piprai college will have to go to Mungaoli college to give paper. Principal Rajmani Yadav told that due to lack of space, Mungavali College sends students for the examination.
College, neither water nor toilet in Tehsil Bhawan
Piprai. Due to non-availability of college building, first it used to run in Government High Secondary School, then it was shifted to old Tehsil building. Where college classes are being held in small rooms. Table chairs for the students to sit have also been broken. On the other hand, due to non-availability of drinking water and toilets, the staff and students are facing a lot of problems. About 500 students study here. A place has been approved for the college near Tatarpur, the construction work of which is going on.
