Chennai. Plywood business Greenlam Industries on Friday said it has started commercial production at its Rs 125 crore plant at Tindivanam in Tamil Nadu.
The company said in a filing to the BSE that the plant at Tindivanam, about 150 km from Chennai, started commercial production from Friday. This plywood manufacturing plant has an installed annual capacity of 1.89 crore square metres.
The company’s subsidiary HG Industries Limited has developed the plant with an investment of Rs 125 crore. The company said that utilizing the plant to its full capacity could generate an annual revenue of Rs 400 crore. According to Greenlam Industries’ website, it has an 18 per cent share in the organized laminate business. It also has plants in Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat.
