On the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti and in the memory of his beloved horse Chetak, horse racing competition is being organized in the city for the last 20 years. This event was organized on behalf of the Hindu Utsav Samiti on the vacant land at Bhopal Road on Saturday. A participant had fallen during the 2 km horse race, which did not get chanted. In the competition, 50 participants from the districts of Dewas, Ujjain, Rajgarh, Indair, Sihar, Agar Malwa etc. came with horses to participate in the race, but 28 horses participated in the race.

In the horse race, 5-5 runners were run with horses, in which the horses that came first were run again in the final round. In the final round, the dream of Rajesh Dangi of Pacher stood first. Dharmendrasingh Bais of the committee said, for the last 19 years, horse racing has been organized, this time it was the 20th year. In memory of Maharana Pratap’s birth anniversary and his beloved horse Chetak, we conduct the competition. The purpose of this program is that the new generation should not forget the tradition of horse racing and remember horse racing.

Cash prize for first and second place
Bais said, Rajesh Dangi, who came first in the competition, was given a cash prize of Rs 11,000. Shah Rukh’s Ghedi Bijli came second, who got Rs 5,500 in cash. And honored with certificate. Shaktisinh’s Mastani was at number three. Similarly, all the participants were honored with medals and certificates.
