DA Hike News: There is good news for central employees. Dearness Allowance ie DA has increased. Government employees are eagerly waiting for the DA hike. Months in advance, they start finding out how much DA will increase this time and when the increased dearness allowance will come in the salary, where it will be used.

The dearness allowance of central employees increases twice a year. One from January and the other from July. The Government has increased the Basic Pay from the existing 396% to 412% with effect from 1.1.2023. let’s find out-

In the office memorandum issued by Dr. Vivek Dwivedi, Deputy Secretary, Government of India, it has been said- According to the 5th Central Pay Commission, the employees of the Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies who draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale. / Revised rates of Dearness Allowance on Grade Pay-

The undersigned is pleased to refer to this Department’s Office Memorandum No. 1/3(2)/2008-EN(B) dated 12th October, 2022 on the above subject and to say that dearness allowance in respect of Central Government employees Allowance and Central Autonomous Bodies (DAs) continue to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scales as per the 5th Central Pay Commission, to be raised to 412% from the existing rate of 396% of basic pay with effect from 1.1.2023.

The provisions contained in Para 3, 4 and 5 of this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No. 1(13)/97-E.I(B) dated 3rd October, 1997 shall continue to be applicable while regulating Dearness Allowance under these orders. The contents of this Office Memorandum may be brought to the notice of all organizations following Central Government pay scales under the administrative control of the Ministries/Departments.
