Mumbai The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will ‘audit’ the preparedness of the crisis-hit airline company GoFirst before allowing it to fly again. This information has been given in the information sent by GoFirst to its employees. The flights of GoFirst, which is facing cash crunch, have been closed since May 3.
The airline is currently in voluntary insolvency resolution proceedings. A senior DGCA official said on Tuesday that the airline has replied to the regulator’s show cause notice, indicating that it will work on resuming flights at the earliest. In a letter sent to employees on Tuesday, the airline said, “The DGCA will conduct an audit in the coming days to check our preparedness.”
We will resume operations soon once the regulatory approval is given. It has been said in the information that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has assured that the salary of the employees for the month of April will be deposited in their accounts before the commencement of operations.
Apart from this, the salary will be paid in the first week of every month from the coming month. This information has been sent to the employees by Rajit Ranjan, Head of Operations, GoFirst.
