How to unfreeze?
To unfreeze the account the customer has to pay the total minimum amount due for the period of freeze. For the year in which the account is reactivated with a minimum contribution of Rs. 100/- fine will have to be paid. To unfreeze an account, the customer has to visit the Point of Presence (POP) and deposit the required amount.
These documents will be needed-
- pan card,
- identity card,
- Address proof,
- passport size photo,
- reactivation form,

You have to fill the form properly along with all the required documents. Sign the form with all the information like PRAN, reason for activation and personal details and submit. You will also need to submit KYC documents and passport size photographs along with the form. When the complete form is filled, you can go to the POP-SP office and submit the form. You will have to pay a nominal fee to reactivate the NPS account. Fee related information will be available from POP-SP. Make sure to take the receipt while making the payment.
Minimum contribution required
The minimum contribution at the time of account opening is Rs.500 for Tier I and Rs.1000 for Tier II. The minimum contribution amount is Rs.500 for Tier I and Rs.250 for Tier II. 6000 for Tier I and the minimum annual contribution is Rs. 2000 for Tier II is Rs.
