Madhya Pradesh Cyber Cell started investigation of fraudulently issued mobile numbers. In the last few years, more than 3 lakh mobile numbers have been issued fraudulently. By using which criminals are doing cyber fraud. In the investigation, information was found that more than two thousand SIM cards were issued on the name and photo of the same person. Cyber and High-Tech Crime Station, Bhopal has been ordered to investigate.

Director General of Police, State Cyber Police Headquarters, Yogesh Deshmukh said that Cyber Cell Bhopal has received information that a large number of SIM cards have been issued fraudulently from different areas of Madhya Pradesh. Several thousand SIM cards have been issued in the name of a select few. This work is being done in a planned manner. In view of the possibility of using these fraudulently issued SIM cards in cyber crime, the matter is being investigated by the Cyber and High-Tech Crime Station, Bhopal. In the case, the police is issuing summons for investigation against the PoS agents who issued the SIM cards fraudulently. In the preliminary investigation, the cyber cell has issued summons to the police against about 50 POS agents for issuing more than 2000 fake SIM cards using the name and photo of the same person. Apart from this, other agents are being identified. Soon summons will be issued against such people as well.
