Feasibility approval from the Government of India
Former Minister Archana Chitnis told that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made public announcement of Tapti Mega Recharge Scheme in principle. The task force constituted by the Government of India has recognized its feasibility. After meeting the Chief Minister, a detailed discussion regarding the scheme was made and requested for further action, after which the Chief Minister asked the concerned officials to take action. Now soon after the meeting of the officers of both the states, the meeting will be held in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh.

This will be the pilot project of a wonderful and large groundwater recharge scheme in the country and the world, under which 357788 hectares of land in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will be recharged.
