In Narsinghpur district, a minor girl, fed up with the harassment of the BJYM leader, cut her wrist. The relatives took him to the hospital. The girl’s life was saved by getting timely treatment. The 17-year-old victim living in Kareli of the district is admitted in the district hospital. On the complaint of the victim, the police registered an FIR on Saturday and arrested the accused.

The victim said that Arjun Lamba, Municipal Minister of BJYM Kareli, was harassing her for a long time. Sometimes he used to pressurize me to come to some place, and sometimes he used to force me to accept something. A few days ago, Arjun Lamba also had a fight. When the accused did not listen, I was threatened to eliminate the family members. After this I decided to end my life. I cut the vein of my hand. Hearing my screams, my mother immediately took me to the Kareli Community Health Center. Referred to the district hospital from there.

Identified during the 12th examination

The victim minor told that during the 12th board examination, he was identified with BJYM leader Arjun Lamba. After this, he also had a conversation on mobile. After a few days, Lamba started harboring bad intentions towards him. He started pressurizing her to meet him forcefully. Even before cutting the vein on June 8, the accused had assaulted her. He used to create pressure by calling himself a big officer.

Mother told- daughter is troubled for many days

According to the victim’s mother, the accused was harassing the victim for a long time due to his political influence. The family members should not get upset, the victim kept hiding the whole thing while tolerating all this herself. When the daughter took this suicidal step, then she came to know about the whole matter. The daughter was under stress for several days. The victim’s mother has also demanded strict action against the accused.
