Washington. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the US later this month at the invitation of US President Joe Biden is a strong indication that the two countries have a future together. This was stated by Atul Keshap, President of the US India Business Council (USIBC).

He said, “This is the third state visit for the Biden administration. India is now one of our closest friends. The fact is that the Prime Minister (Modi) and the President (Biden) agree that their coming together is a powerful signal that our future is together.

On expectations from Modi’s visit, Keshap said it would send a strong message to the business communities of both the countries that both are each other’s preferred partners and is expected to boost investments and trade.

He said, “I have said many times that we should make rapid efforts to reach the annual trade between America and India to 500 billion US dollars. At present we are only at US$ 190 billion. I want there to be some energy agreements between the US and India. He said that apart from this, agreements can be made for products like semiconductors and chips. Modi will be on a state visit to the US from June 21 to 24.
