NIA crackdown on terror funding: Raids in many areas of the city, distance from media

In Jabalpur late on Friday night, the NIA team along with the local police suddenly raided, during which the mobiles of the media persons present on the spot were also snatched away by the police during the coverage. According to sources, the names of some people had come to the fore during the funding held in Bhopal, regarding which the NIA has taken this action in collaboration with the Jabalpur police. At the time when this action was being taken, Jabalpur SP Tusharkant Vidyarthi along with the NIA team and heavy police force was deployed on the spot.

According to the information, the NIA team reached Jabalpur late on Friday and together with the local police officers and employees raided three places simultaneously. It is being told that NIA has taken this action at 2 places in Civil Line, 2 places in Badi Omati and Adhartal. Although the NIA and the local police team are refraining from giving any kind of information to the media, it is being told that the NIA suspects that this whole action may be related to Terror funding.

When the NIA team was conducting proceedings around Abdul Razzaq’s house in Badi Omati, media persons were also present, the policemen had also snatched the mobiles of the media persons. According to sources, the houses of Maqsood Kabadi and Ahad Ullah Ansari have been raided.

When we called Additional Director General of Police Umesh Joga to inquire about the proceedings of NIA, he did not pick up the phone, apart from this, we tried to talk to Jabalpur SP Tusharkant Vidyarthi on the phone but he also did not pick up the phone. Sources reveal that the NIA team was engaged in action in different areas of Jabalpur city since Friday morning.
