On the occasion of World Environment Day, plantation fortnight is being run till June 20 in Dewas district. Plantation work is being done on a large scale on the Shankargarh hill during the plantation fortnight. Collector Rishav Gupta once again reached Shankargarh hill in the plantation campaign. She planted saplings on the Shankargarh hill along with the women of self-help groups and school children.
Collector Gupta inspected the Shankargarh hill and also gave necessary guidelines regarding the maintenance of plants to the concerned. CEO District Panchayat Prakash Singh Chauhan, DFO P.K. Mishra along with other officials, women from self-help groups, school children and social organizations planted saplings.
District Education Officer H.L. Khushal said that teachers and students of Government School A planted one thousand saplings on Shankargarh hill on Saturday. In which 500 fruit trees and 500 shade trees have been planted.
Let us inform that during the plantation fortnight in the district, saplings are being planted in Mataji’s Tekri in Dewas, in all the Amrit Sarovars of the district. Saplings are also being planted in schools, colleges, government office premises and other places in the district.
