Police picked up the Assistant Director in-charge of the Backward Classes Department: He was suspended 2 days ago in the scam in the Tribal Department, inquiry continues

Embezzlement of more than Rs 4 crore has been exposed in the Tribal Department. In this case, the police has made 4 arrests, whereas on Saturday evening, the then cluster principal of Bhatkheda, Rajesh Takjhare, assistant director in-charge of the Backward Classes Department, has been detained by the police for questioning. Takjhare was suspended two days back by Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma for not putting up the file of the hostel superintendent of Bahadarpur and for being negligent.

It is alleged that about one and a half to two lakh rupees were deposited in his account as well. While other accused are absconding, including a worker leader and Tribal Department employee Rajesh Savkare, Narendra Mahajan. The case of transaction of about 1.80 crores on Rajesh Savkare has come to the fore in the investigation.

According to SP Rahul Kumar Lodha, Assistant Director Rajesh Takjhare, in-charge of Backward Classes Department, has been detained for questioning on Saturday. About one and a half to two lakh rupees were deposited in his account. Inquiry is being done. On the other hand, Rajesh Savkare had done a transaction of about 1.80 crores. Investigation revealed that he had withdrawn the cash. Rajesh Savkare, Narendra Mahajan, Bharat Salunke etc are absconding. All these names came up in the investigation. Narendra Mahajan has also done a scam of about 40-50 lakhs. Their accounts have been verified by the police.

Earlier 4 accused were arrested

The police had first arrested Narayan Patil, in-charge of the Tribal Department’s Accounts Branch. There were many revelations in the interrogation. Then servant Manoj Patil was arrested. After this, when the name of Abrar Khan, the Principal of Dedtalai School came to the fore, he was arrested and sent to jail. Kailash Panchal, the headmaster of a school in Navara, was arrested on Saturday. Now Assistant Director of Backward Classes Department Rajesh Takjhare has been taken into custody. It is being told that gradually the layers of the whole case will be revealed.
