MUMBAI: The rupee gained 8 paise to trade at 82.77 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday at the interbank forex market.
Forex dealers said investors were awaiting the details of the US Federal Reserve’s meeting in May. In such a situation, the rupee is trading in a limited range.
The rupee gained eight paise to open at 82.77 against the US dollar in early trade at the interbank foreign exchange market.
On Tuesday, the rupee had closed at 82.85 per dollar. Meanwhile, the dollar index, which gauges the strength of the US currency against a basket of six currencies, declined 0.03 per cent to 103.46. Brent crude oil futures were trading 0.90 per cent higher at $77.53 a barrel.
