The construction of 696 units EWS and 120 units LIG houses in Khargone at a cost of Rs 6730.83 lakh under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana AHP is definitely a big gift of the Modi government for the poor and homeless families. Union Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas, Labor and Employment Rameshwar Teli said this in Khargone on Sunday. Teli and the present officials also planted saplings in the PM’s residence complex. After this, Teli inspected the pump house at Solna Gyaspura of Bistan Lift Irrigation Project constructed at a cost of about Rs 390 crore.
With this scheme, 22 thousand hectare agricultural land of the area will be irrigated. Minister Teli discussed with the officials of the construction agency NVDA and the construction company and the farmers of the area. The project is yet to be inaugurated. There is a provision to provide water for irrigation in Rabi season. Water has been released in the rivers and drains for drinking water during the summer season.
