He was so intoxicated that he didn’t even know the difference between good and bad. Even his wife’s advice seemed like an enemy’s taunt to him. So he started fighting with his wife. Fed up with this, he ended his life.
This incident is of village Bhatgawan under Singhpur police station of Satna district. A month after the death of the woman, the police have arrested the husband of the deceased Manish Bagri father Brijlal Bagri resident Bhatgawan. A case of abetment to suicide has been registered against him under IPC section 306.
Police said that the accused Manish Bagri was badly trapped in the grip of alcohol-ganja intoxication. He didn’t pay any attention to household chores and earnings. The wife was troubled by his drug addiction and used to explain to him. But he used to find this thing distasteful, so in a fit of anger he used to beat up his wife. He didn’t even let his wife go to her maternal home, still she used to bear everything.
But in the meantime, on April 21, Manish again beat his wife and also broke her mobile phone. After which the wife, fed up with the harassment, consumed poisonous substance on April 23. Due to which he died the very next day.
Describing Manish’s misdeeds to the police, the maternal side of the deceased accused him of murder. When the police started the investigation, it was found that the deceased took the extreme step due to harassment by her husband. The police arrested the accused husband and sent him to jail.
