Serbian Novak Djokovic won his record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title after defeating Norway’s Casper Ruud 7-6, 6-3, 7-5 in the French Open tennis final “Roland Garros” today, Sunday.

Djokovic became the first player to win at least three titles in each of the four Grand Slam titles: the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open.

Ruud, the fourth seed, who played his third Grand Slam final after Roland Garros and the US Open, started the match well and broke his opponent’s serve early.

But third seed Djokovic rallied to win the tiebreak before clinching the second set, securing his grip during key moments in the final set.

The 36-year-old sealed the title when Rudd sent a forehand wide on his second chance to win the match.
