Al-Jazeera was able to enter Khartoum Airport, which has been the scene of battles since the first day of the outbreak of fighting between the Sudanese army forces and the Rapid Support Forces in mid-April.

The exclusive photos showed a complete halt to the airport’s work and its facilities, and the absence of employees and workers in it, as well as a burning plane, damage to equipment, and the presence of some shells inside the airport.

Sporadic gunfire was heard near the airport as the Al-Jazeera team toured some of its facilities.

The Al-Jazeera correspondent also monitored the food stores attached to the airport and the passenger luggage storage area, which are in a state of chaos.
