French star Kylian Mbappe denied media reports that claimed he wanted to move to Spanish Real Madrid this summer, and Mbappe also denied that he had informed the Paris Saint-Germain club management of his unwillingness to renew his contract, which expires with the French champion in the summer of 2024, for an additional year.
Mbappe said, through his official account on Twitter today, Tuesday, in response to a tweet by the French newspaper “Le Parisien”: “Lies, the greater their size, the more they spread. I have already said that I will continue next season in Paris Saint-Germain, where I feel very happy.”

The French newspaper had published a report on its website today, confirming Mbappe’s desire to join Real Madrid this summer, in order to take advantage of Karim Benzema’s departure from the Spanish team.
And since yesterday, Monday, reports have spread that Mbappe sent a letter to the Paris Saint-Germain administration confirming his desire not to renew, and talked about the French team’s desire to sell the player this summer after this news.

Most international newspapers and sports websites suggested that his destination would be Real Madrid, due to the Spanish club’s previous desire to sign the player, as well as the French striker’s dream of playing for the royal.
Today, Tuesday, the French Press Agency claimed that Mbappe never discussed extending his contract with the Parisian club beyond 2024, the day after he informed his officials of his intention not to activate the option to extend it to an additional year.
The French star signed a contract a year ago with Saint-Germain – from “July 15, 2022 until the same month in 2024.”
And the agency said that a statement was sent to it in which Mbappe and those close to him made it clear that “after he had already confirmed in recent weeks that he would be Parisian next season, and he did not ask to leave this summer, but he only assured the club not to activate his additional year.”
