The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that it was decided to facilitate the arrival of Yemeni pilgrims coming to perform Hajj and Umrah from Sana’a Airport to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, similar to the rest of the land and air ports with Yemen.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that this comes as an extension of the Kingdom’s keenness to facilitate the performance of Hajj for Yemenis wishing to travel through Sana’a Airport as part of the Ministry’s efforts and initiatives aimed at facilitating the performance of rituals for pilgrims and Umrah performers from all Islamic and Arab countries.
For his part, Yemeni Information Minister Muammar Al-Eryani said that next Saturday, Yemeni Airlines will launch its first flight to transport pilgrims from Sana’a International Airport to Jeddah and Medina airports.
The minister added that this step comes in implementation of the directives of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, and with the cooperation and response of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
