The Emir of Qatar arrives in Baghdad on an official visit

The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, arrived in Baghdad today, on an official visit to Iraq.

The Emir of Qatar was received at Baghdad International Airport by Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani.

The spokesman for the Iraqi government, Basem Al-Awadi, said that the Baghdad government looks forward to the visit of the Emir of Qatar today to Iraq with high positivity.

In a statement to Al-Jazeera, Al-Awadi expressed his hope that the visit would contribute to developing the level of relations between the two countries.

Al-Awadi added that constant communication and coordination between the leaders of the countries of the region, especially between Iraq and Qatar, will contribute to strengthening stability
