The Tunisian Journalists Syndicate denounces the “suppression” of press freedom in the country

The Tunisian Journalists Syndicate described the series of prosecutions against a number of journalists, bloggers, and activists as “crossing all red lines” in dealing with freedom of the press in the country.

The Syndicate organized a protest, denouncing what it described as the unfair sentence against a journalist to 5 years in prison, which is the highest sentence against a journalist since independence, according to the Syndicate, reaffirming its continued defense of freedoms and human rights.
