Watch.. Bell prefers Messi to Ronaldo and provokes Real Madrid

Gareth Bale, the retired Welsh soccer star, raised the ire of Real Madrid fans once again by preferring Argentine star Lionel Messi over Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.

Welshman Bale was in one of the events accompanying the final match of the 2023 UEFA Champions League, which ended with Manchester City’s 1-0 victory over Inter Milan at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.

Bell appeared in a video clip during his participation in the “Test Questions” segment, and the announcer asked him a question about the best player who won the European Champions League, and Bell answered without hesitation and said, “Messi.”

Bale played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo in Real Madrid for 5 seasons, from the 2013-2014 season to 2017-2018, before the second left the Meringue club for Juventus.

And the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” believes that Bale, with his recent statements, once again turned against Real Madrid and the club’s fans.

During his time at Real Madrid, Bale did not hesitate to criticize the fans of the Royal Club, who whistled against him in many matches.

And the newspaper says, “Bale returned to provoke the Real Madrid fans, who did not regret it when the player left the club through the back door.”

This answer comes from Bale, although he and his former colleague Cristiano won the Champions League 5 previous times, while Messi was crowned with it only 4 times.

Bale succeeded in winning the title with Real Madrid in the seasons 2013-2014, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2021-2022.

As for Messi’s four titles in the same tournament, he won them with Barcelona in the seasons 2005-2006, 2008-2009, 2010-2011, and 2014-2015.

Bale had predicted that Manchester City would beat Inter in the final, 5-0, while the award for best player in the match would go to Belgian Kevin De Bruyne.

However, none of these expectations were correct, because the “Citizens” snatched only one goal through its player Rodri, who snatched the player of the match award at a time when De Bruyne did not complete the final after suffering a muscle injury 10 minutes before the end of the first half.

It is noteworthy that Bale scored 3 goals in the final matches he played with Real Madrid, as he hit Atletico Madrid once in the 2014 final, in addition to two others against Liverpool in the 2018 final.

Bale left Real Madrid permanently in the summer of 2021 and moved to play for the American “Los Angeles FC”, before announcing his retirement from football on January 9, 2023, more than a month after his participation with his country, Wales, in the finals. World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
