Paris Saint-Germain beat Auxerre 2-1 in the 36th round of the French Football League.
Paris Saint-Germain raised its tally to 84 points at the top of the standings, 6 points behind its closest rivals, Lens, with two rounds remaining until the end of the season.
And now Saint-Germain needs one point from the two matches against its host Strasbourg on the 27th of this month and its guest Claremont on the 3rd of next month, to preserve its title that it crowned last season.
On the other hand, Auxerre’s balance froze at 34 points in 16th place.
The goals of the Parisian team, Kylian Mbappe, were scored in the sixth and eighth minutes of the first half. Mbappe snatched the top scorer list for “Ligue 1” with 28 goals, two ahead of French striker Alexandre Lacazette, Lyon striker (26 goals).
In the 51st minute, Lassen Senaiko scored the only goal for Auxerre.
