Asmita Dorjee climbed Mount Everest


Jamshedpur. Senior instructor of Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) and veteran mountaineer Asmita Dorjee (39 years) has successfully climbed Mount Everest. Tata Steel gave this information in a release here.

According to the release, Asmita succeeded in climbing the world’s highest peak on the morning of May 23. Asmita started her journey on April 3 and reached Everest base camp on April 14 after eight days of trekking in the Khumbu region.

According to the release, Asmita crossed the dangerous Khumbu avalanche on May 18 and reached camp number two on May 19. Asmita started climbing the summit at 10 pm on May 22 and reached the summit of Everest at 8:20 am IST on May 23. Asmita was accompanied by a very experienced Sherpa guide from Nepal, Lakfa Nuru.
