The BFI appointed Warburton as sub-junior coach


New Delhi. The Boxing Federation of India on Friday appointed John Warburton as the coach of India’s sub-junior team who will focus on the development of the sport at the ground level.

Warburton, who has four decades of coaching experience, has been associated with the game in England since 1984. He is currently Head of Boxing at JSW Inspire Institute of Sport in Bellary, Karnataka.

He has been instrumental in grooming India’s talented boxers Manju Bamboria, Manisha Moon and Nishant Dev.
